Mountain Hiking
Acheron Outdoors – Starting from the village of Glyki at the springs of Acheron Village we pass the tunnel of “Tsavelena’s staircase” and we enjoy the panoramic view of the imposing Acheron River and the majestic rocky mountains of Souli. As the path ascends towards the plateau of Souli, we find a low shrubby vegetation such as holly, oregano, thyme and asfaka. Later, the path passes through a dense forest with plane trees, sycamores and arias. The ascent ends at the legendary fortress of Kougi. On our way back, we have a break close to the watermill for a refreshing natural hydromassage in the cold waters of Acheron.

River Trekking
Acheron Outdoors – Hiking and River Trekking at Acheron. From the village of Glyki, we make wonderful nature walk to the arched bridge of Dala where the ruins of an old watermill are preserved. On the way back, we cross the riverbed, walk and swim among high white rocks, enjoy the untouched natural scenery of the canyon. Reaching the end, we reach the “Hole of the Dragon”, one of the largest and coldest springs of the river.
